My Stay at the Orange Hotel

The hotel staff, ably led by Xoan, made me feel special from the moment I walked in the door. I was delightfully taken aback when I saw my name flash across the monitor mounted on the wall, welcoming me as a new guest. Then I was asked to have a seat while a staff person brought me a cold refreshing towel to wipe away the sweat from the oppressive heat, a fruit plate and a glass of passion fruit juice. Next, before escorting me to my room, Xoan expressed, in very good English, her appreciation that I chose their hotel and let me know that she and the staff would help me with anything I needed. Daily, the staff demonstrated a level of customer service that I don’t think I have ever experienced at any hotel. They took care of all the logistics for my excursions to Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountain and Hoi An. Because it was rainy season, they ensured I had an umbrella each time I left the premises and always greeted me with a cold refreshing towel when I returned from an outing. Every staff person played an active role in ensuring that I had a great experience. My room was stellar and the breakfast was a hearty combination of Vietnamese and western dishes. The owner of the hotel happened to be there as I was checking out the Orange Hotel and moving to the Nhi Nhi Hotel, their sister hotel in Hoi An. He was an affable, humble man and after meeting him and learning a bit about him, I better understood their commitment to excellence. He used to sleep on the street corner just a few meters from the hotel he now owns and the sister hotel in Hoi An was his first hotel. His is a beautiful story of discipline and commitment and he has imparted those success qualities into his staff. Their brand of professionalism flows from the heart and the head and it’s the guests who win. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and I look forward to returning
